Why This Resource Exists
Florida's public-record system is broad, but there is no single state mugshot search for county bookings. Each sheriff or arresting agency holds its own intake records and decides what it displays online, subject to state law and exemptions. Some counties provide current rosters, some show released records, and others rely on a short report or a records request.
FDC serves a separate role. It publishes offender profiles for people sentenced to state prison or included in its supervision searches. County clerks hold the trial-court dockets that show what happened to a charge. This site connects those distinct records without presenting an arrest as a conviction or collecting images in a gallery.
Florida Record Paths
The pages focus on the source that can answer each question:
- The statewide booking-record and arrest search overview explains county rosters, feed limits, court records, and request routes.
- The Florida Fugitive List page separates FDLE wanted-person results from FDC absconder records and federal lists.
- The Public Mugshot Laws page explains public-record rules, ยง901.43, sealing, expungement, and free correction paths.
- The County Directory, FDC offender search, and historical archive routes point to the agencies that hold those records.
What This Site Cannot Do
Florida Busted Mugshots is privately operated and has no connection to a sheriff, jail, corrections department, clerk, or other government office. It cannot confirm who is in custody, release anyone, retrieve an official record, or give legal advice. Only the agency that holds a record can verify its current status.
- It cannot hold, transfer, or release a person in custody.
- It cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds to an agency.
- It cannot replace advice from a licensed lawyer.
- It cannot promise that an agency link, fee, or contact detail will stay current.
For a current custody or release answer, contact the county sheriff, arresting agency, or FDC directly. The linked search pages are tools for reaching the record holder, not a substitute for its confirmation.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes run by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices and decide what their tools return. If a visitor chooses a paid service through one of those links, Florida Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee. That fee helps support the site, but it does not give this site control over the partner's price, records, or results.
